In October 2015, there was an event in the women entrepreneurs’ program – it was the first meeting, bringing together the 3 cohorts, to generate content. By chance I sat down at the same table as one of our mentors, Luiza Helena Trajano. In the way that is characteristic of her personality, she interrupted some discussions or interfered, and what resonated inside me was a differentiated speech, with a feminine, humanized vision. She spoke about purpose in the corporate world. I remember that she remarked that day: “Purpose will be the new profit”. I wanted to understand more. So I asked: "Luiza, have you ever heard of Conscious Capitalism"? And the answer was: "What do you mean? I took Raj Sisodia to speak at Magazine Luiza"! "That's it – I wasn't crazy!", I thought.
The next day, I woke up very early and anxious. I needed to make a decision, take a direction. So I went to pray! I asked Jesus to enlighten me – to show me my way! I really wanted to work with women, entrepreneurship and social impact, but I couldn't find where I could work. So I went to the office to start the day. `At 10 am, my heart sped up and Luiza's name came up very loudly. I knew that she had founded the Grupo Mulheres do Brasil, but I had no idea what it was about. I decided to call. “Luiza, How are you? Do you have 5 minutes? It's to talk about a personal matter". To my surprise, she then replied: Yes! (I hadn't rehearsed the text, I didn't know how to start...!). "Well, Luiza, I am passionate about women, entrepreneurship and impact. Here at the company, I manage to dedicate only 10% of my time to the program focused on women entrepreneurs and I really want to live it 100%. What is going on at Mulheres do Brasil ? Do you need help to structure, organize the Group?" And she said: "In two weeks, we will have a meeting. Why don't you come over?"
