Dear MDBs:
It is with great affection that I write this message to you!
My coming to the MDB was guided by a good dose of courage (to challenge the status quo), a lot of will (to live something meaningful) and faith (trusting that something bigger was guiding my path).
This experience that lasted 18 months today was incredible. It started with the renovation of OUR HOUSE, going through the organization of meetings, creation of “Open Doors” and “Popcorn with Content” events: all mixed with lots of fun, mistakes and successes!
I discovered another Brazil. An arid, miserable country, but at the same time, of great beauty, warmth, and simplicity in life. A Brazil where the jail inmates have a second chance to receive respect and trust. A diverse Brazil, in its forms and formats. In its colors.
I learned a new way of working, respecting the organic and authenticity of chaos. Loving those who think differently. Feeling what is to come, respecting the natural rhythm. Less concerned about diagnosing and more connected to the role of observer. I loved being surprised with unpretentious encounters, thought of in the format “whoever has to come will come”. Intuition often prevailed.
Today I say “see you later” to live a new chapter. A nice opportunity came up for my husband to work in Hong Kong. I will move with my family in July of this year, making room for him to live his dream now. The initial idea is to live there for 3 years. I will have the opportunity and privilege to get to know another country, another culture, and new people in depth. But mainly to get to know a little-explored side of mine: that of a mother and wife 100% dedicated to the family. Fear? Much. Insecurity? Sure! But I feel inside that it's a new chapter that must be experienced. Full of challenges, adventures, and a lot of learning. Today I feel prepared for everything that will come, mainly because I developed a humanized look during the MdB experience, aware of privileges, and taking responsibility for transforming the world to what we want it to be and the meaning for a life worth living!
I leave here a special thank you to Luiza, for the daily learning, patience, trust, and exchange. I greatly admire the way you lead your life and relationships. With truth and consistency. It was a privilege to have had the opportunity to work with you on such a special and innovative project as Grupo Mulheres do Brasil. I leave, after this experience, a better human being!
Thanks to all of you for being together with me, for the affection, support, friendship, and love that I will carry in my suitcase with me. You are part of my story.
To end in one word what the MDB meant to me: IT WAS MAGICAL!
Thank you! See you on Workplace!
A kiss with great affection,
Marina
